A legal Christian marriage ceremony can be performed for you by a Minister or a civil wedding ceremony can be performed by a marriage celebrant in one of our traditional rooms surrounding the Courtyard, all with original features of the period.
All rooms are contained within a cobbled courtyard which in turn is set in beautiful gardens, including an ornamental pond beside the dovecote and a large gazebo in a woodland setting.
There are a choice of three classic wedding venues:
The Blacksmith\'s Workshop is the more traditional room with flagstone floor, whitewashed walls and a magnificent 19th century nobleman\'s carriage making a stunning background for photography.
Capacity: 60 persons.
The Blacksmith\'s Cottage is a small cosy room holding up to 15 guests. It is tastefully furnished with tartan carpet and an open coal fire, which is used in the cooler months.
Capacity: 15 persons.
The Linton Room is named after John Linton, who married couples here, in his capacity as marrying blacksmith, in the 1800\'s. The room contains his portrait and various artefacts used by him; not least his signing table which now houses his original register. By signing your legal documents at his table you become part of 200 years of history, tradition and romance.
Capacity: 20 persons.
